Accolades
Accolades are always nice to get. I have been privileged to win a few small writing competitions.
NaNoWriMo
Untrustworthy
During November of 2013, I wrote a wholly original novel with over 51,000 words, thereby making me a winner of NaNoWriMo.
The novel is called Untrustworthy, and it was published by Riverdale Avenue Books, in 2014.
I also won NaNoWriMo in 2014, with the second story of the Obolonk trilogy, The Polymer Beat. In 2015, I won NaNo with The Enigman Cave. And in 2016, I won with the first novel in a trilogy, The Real Hub of the Universe.
Wattpad
In March of 2014, Revved Up became a featured story!
In September of 2014, the Fanfic profile added three stories to their Star Trek reading list: Before Days, The New Captain’s Woman, and Biases.

So in January of 2012, Paving Stones Made From Good Intentions won the Pathways challenge. This challenge was all about character childhoods and backgrounds.
Then in October of 2012, Day of the Dead won the Burdens of Command challenge. This was all about why command isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be.
2013
In May of 2013, Where No Gerbil Has Gone Before won the On the Levity challenge. This was of course a humor challenge.

2015
In March of 2015, Colleagues won the Mentors challenge. Quite obviously, the challenge was all about writing a mentor/protegé relationship.
Trek BBS
In December of 2012, The Further Adventures of Porthos – The Stilton Fulfillment won the Ironic Wish Fulfillment challenge. The concept was to show how sometimes you shouldn’t get what you wish for.
2013
In March of 2013, Bread won the Independence challenge. However, initially, the challenge concerned becoming independent. Instead, I wrote about Diana Jones losing her independence. I felt it was more poignant to see it all slipping away, and readers agreed.
2014
By default, Theorizing won the crossover challenge for the Summer of 2014. The crossover is between Star Trek: Enterprise and Quantum Leap.

So I used to enter challenges all the time. I don’t write to win. Instead, I write for my own artistic reasons or to fill in gaps in my Star Trek fan fiction. But it is kinda nice to win accolades.
